Org. Setting and Reporting This position is located in the Conduct and Discipline Service, Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance. The incumbent reports and Officer designated by the Chief, Conduct and Discipline Service.
Within delegated authority of the Chief of the Conduct and Discipline Service, the Team Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:
Performs duties specific to the Conduct and Discipline function including vetting of personnel, maintaining electronic and paper files, drafting and coordinating correspondence and updates to the Misconduct Tracking System;
Participates in vetting of civilian, military and police personnel to be deployed in field missions for prior misconduct while in the service of the United Nations; Drafts case summaries of cases for clearance by the supervisor and follow-up communications to field missions and other offices participating in the vetting of candidates;
Keeps track of received data and source documents, and identifies and interprets data to be entered in Misconduct Tracking System (MTS);
Contacts originators of source documents to resolves questions, inconsistencies, or missing data; Responds and drafts responses to a wide range of correspondence and other communications within the Department and with other agencies of the UN system on the various aspect of the work of the CDS; Assists in maintaining and updating files (both paper and electronic) relating to allegations of misconduct;
Updates and tracks the use of the task management module in MTS;
Provides support to MTS users in the field missions and at headquarters;
Assists in the designing, developing and utilizing dashboards and other business intelligence products for the Service;
Assists in the preparation of presentation materials using appropriate technology/software;
Assists in the recruitment and human resources related activities of the Conduct and Discipline Service; Coordinates extensively and liaises frequently with the Conduct and Discipline Service members at Headquarters and Conduct and Discipline Teams in the field;
Assists in the delivery and pickup of incoming and outgoing correspondence;
Provides direct administrative support including the full range of office management and

administrative/technological support including Umoja related support; Performs other duties as assigned.
